About the event
Kanbutsu-e Flyer, Apr 08, 2022
This is the most important day as well as Jodo-e and Nehan-e to us.
Apr 08 is the day that Buddha was born and to celebrate him.
People pour ama-cha (a beverage prepared from hydrangea serrata, a variety of hydrangea) on small Buddha statues decorated with flowers, as if bathing a newborn baby.
Lion dancing is also a major tradition practiced during Buddha's Birthday and has become associated with the festival.
Due to widespread COVID-19, we can not gather to celebrate this significant day in this year, but let's celebrate and pray togather remotely for him and our happiness.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Once you book for the event, we will email you the zoom link.
